Sermon 14

This too is in condemnation of the people of Basra.


"Your land is close to the sea and far from the sky.

Your intellects are shallow and your wisdom immature.

You are the target of every archer, the morsel of every eater, and the prey caught in every hunter’s trap."

یہ بھی اہل بصرہ کی مذمت میں ہے

تمہاری زمین (سمندر کے ) پانی سے قریب اور آسمان سے دور ہے۔ تمہاری عقلیں سبک اور دانائیاں خام ہیں۔ تم ہر تیر انداز کا نشانہ ہر کھانے والے کا لقمہ اور ہر شکاری کی صید انگنیوں کا شکار ہو
